About

Barbara Craver

I first moved to Juneau in 1976 but it took me another 20 years to start drawing and painting the landscape that had captured my heart. By taking classes and workshops with local artists as well as art workshops outside Alaska I began to explore ways to express my response to the landscape and cityscape of Juneau.

Annie Kaill’s was across the hall from Hearthside Books, site of my second job in Juneau, down on Merchants Wharf back in 1977. I have many happy memories of wandering through the delights of Kaill’s and the warmth and fun that Annie’s always embodies. I am very happy to be represented all these years later in one of Juneau’s best loved stores!

Beginning in 2015 Artique, Inc. in Anchorage showed my work up though it’s closure in 2018. It was terrific to see my work reach a larger audience.
