There is a nice little pullout on the road up to Eaglecrest Ski Area in Juneau, Alaska and this stream and the surrounding forest is always a magnet for me. I was first attracted by the backlit moss on the trees then the light raking across the water. As I worked on this, different areas became seductive, the devil’s club, the different trees. A big piece like this is a voyage of discovery, and a push and pull of the elements.
